About Payton

As a founding partner of Apex Insurance Solutions, Payton leads agency operations with a focus on building scalable systems that deliver high-touch, high-trust service to contractors.

He grew up pouring concrete in his father’s business and credits his love and respect for the trades to that foundation—"If I see further than others, it's because I stand on the shoulders of a giant."

A summa cum laude graduate of Kansas State University’s mechanical engineering program, Payton later held business development and project management roles in construction and manufacturing prior to co-founding Apex Insurance Solutions.

He's on a mission to shift the perception that insurance is a necessary evil built solely for protection—believing instead that it’s a tool for growth, empowering business owners to take calculated risks and pursue their fullest potential.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar, golfing, reading, and spending time with his wife, Taylor.
