About Denzel

As a founding partner of Apex Insurance Solutions, Denzel leads the agency’s Colorado office with a deep commitment to serving contractors through genuine relationships and strategic protection.

While earning his sales degree and MBA from Kansas State University, Denzel was a three-year starter and team captain for the football team. Off the field, he was twice recognized as a Big 12 Champion for Life for his leadership, perseverance, and community impact. He was also named to the prestigious Allstate Good Works Team—one of just 22 student-athletes nationally honored for their service and character.

After college, he launched his professional career at Advisors Excel and quickly leaned into entrepreneurship, founding and scaling both a local eatertainment venue and a residential plumbing and HVAC business.

Denzel is known for his rare ability to carry the emotion of his clients—approaching every conversation with empathy and relentless follow-through. His mindset is simple: put people first, and the rest will follow.

Outside of work, Denzel enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, and snowboarding in the Colorado mountains.
